Traffic flows on a 1.6-mile stretch of U.S. 41 located about 5 miles north of Baraga. The stretch was realigned because of an eroding cliff. The project began in April and was opened for normal traffic patterns late last week, according to the Michigan Department of Transpiration. The total cost of the project was estimated at $2.3 million. Most of the work was done by MJO Contracting of Hancock.
