HOUGHTON - Christmastime is here, and the Copper Country Chorale is bringing happiness and cheer in the form of song.
Under the direction of Charles White, the Copper Country Chorale presents "A Jazz Christmas Dessert Concert" at 3 p.m. Sunday at Houghton High School.
"You guys sound so good," White said at a rehearsal Monday.

Seated at a piano, White directed the choir through several pieces, many which were accompanied by the Real Time Jazz Band.
"This year, there will be all jazz," White said.
The ensemble will perform "A Cool Yule" and "Christmastime is Here" from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" among other pieces.
"Our Santa Claus tune is called 'The Man with the Bag,'" he said.
A couple of traditional Christmas favorites will be performed as well, White said, like "White Christmas," "The Christmas Song" and "Santa Baby."
"'Santa Baby' is a favorite of mine, for the words," White said.
Members of the chorale are making desserts which will be available at the performance.
"I can't wait to see what that's going to bring," he said. "We're going to have a great time. It'll be fun."
