L'ANSE - Travis Therrian and Chase Daavettila completed hat tricks in a wild third period as Jeffers defeated L'Anse 7-5 Thursday in Lake Superior Conference hockey at Meadowbrook Arena.
Jeffers (6-9, 2-4 LSC) trailed 3-2 after two before the teams combined for seven goals in a third-period span of 12:20.
Daavettila's first of the game tied it at 3 at the 4:33 mark of the third, but the Purple Hornets responded quickly, re-taking the lead on Bryant Froberg's goal at 5:38.
Therrian made it 4-4 with his shorthanded unassisted tally at 7:11, but again L'Anse had the answer, as Dan Wadaga scored unassisted at the nine-minute mark.
Daavettila struck again to tie it at 5 at 10:17, but this time the Jets would get the next goal, as Therrian completed his hat trick at 14:41 to give Jeffers the lead. Daavettila tacked on an insurance goal at 15:53.
Dylan Sever got the win in net, making 27 saves for Jeffers..
Wadaga had a pair of goals and Kodi Jahfetson 28 saves for L'Anse (4-6, 1-4 LSC).
