HANCOCK - Darcie Frantila and Michael Geenen were united in marriage on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Hancock by Rev. David Geenen, the twin brother of the groom. The bride is the daughter of Tina and Mike Frantila of Dollar Bay. The groom is the son of Pamela and the late Gary Geenen of Grand Rapids, Mich.
The maid of honor was Cortney Dodge. Bridal attendants were Kathy Carter and Amy Reitz.
The best man was David Geenen, brother of groom. Groomsmen were Adam Geenen, brother of groom, Dave Wilmert and Joel Ballastero.
Flower girl was Breanna Datto and the ringbearer was A.J. Datto, cousins of the bride.
Ushers were Jesse Frantila, brother of bride, and David Bidelspach.
A reception followed at the Best Western Franklin Square Inn in Houghton.
Darcie is a graduate of Dollar Bay High School, Michigan Technological University and Colorado State University. She is a science editor for Wildland Hydrology working in the field of river restoration.
Michael is a graduate of Forest Hills Central High School in Grand Rapids and Colorado State University. He is enrolled at North Carolina State University and is a civil engineer and river specialist for Stantec, Consulting.
Following the honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple happily resides in Fort Collins, Co.
