The Girl Scout Portage Service area and L'Anse Troop attended a council event with the Michigan Technological University women's basketball team this past Saturday at the Michigan Tech Student Development Complex. The girl scouts were able to watch the women's basketball team play and meet Huskies mascot Blizzard T. Husky. At halftime of the game, they had a pizza party. Once the Huskies had finished winning their game, the scouts were able to meet the players, get autographs, and pictures with the team. After the pictures, the scouts were able to finish off the event with swimming in the SDC pool.
