Chelsea Marie Newman and Michael Roy Anderson

ISHPEMING - Chelsea Marie Newman and Michael Roy Anderson were united in marriage by Pastor Kenneth Lahners at Faith Lutheran Church in Ishpeming Oct. 9, 2010. Parents of the couple are Bill and Carrie Newman of Laurium and Roy and Marcia Anderson of Ishpeming.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was Leann Fogle, friend of the bride. Briedesmaids were Libbie Petaja, KC VanNuck, and Kelly Newman, sisters of the bride, Heather Anderson, sister of the groom, and Jessica Baroni and Michelle Hallwachs, friends of the bride.

Best man was Victor Bertucci, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Kyle Newman, brother of the bride, Adam Ostola, Doug Sicotte, Lee Ahola, Steven Schaffer and Bob Eberhardt, friends of the groom.

The ring bearer and flower girl were Max Petaja and Eve Petaja, nephew and niece of the bride. Ushers were Eric Petaja and Bob VanNuck, brothers-in-law of the bride. The readings were done by Jade Bolthouse, friend of the bride.

Chelsea is a graduate of Calumet High School, attended Northern Michigan University, and is currently employed by the Michigan National Guard in Ishpeming. Michael graduated from Westwood High School, served with the U.S. Marine Corps, graduated from Northern Michigan University, and is employed by Cleveland-Cliffs. The couple both serve in the National Guard.

After the honeymoon in Europe, the newlyweds are residing in Ishpeming.
