KBIC?Kids Fishing Derby Saturday

BARAGA - The ninth annual Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Sam and Charlotte (Mongoose) Durant Memorial Kids Fishing Derby will be Saturday in Sand Point Pond at Ojibwa Recreation Area off US 41 in Baraga.

The event runs from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Many prizes will be awarded at registration and throughout the morning. Rods and reels will be given to kids without them at registration (while supplies last), but kids who bring their own will get an incentive prize (while supplies last).

There'll be food, fun and games for fisher-kids from ages 4-12.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Kids must be present for various random drawings and activities but need not be present for major prize-winner announcements at the end.
