CALUMET - The premier ABBA tribute band is coming to the Calumet Theatre.

Boasting nine musicians - including members who played and recorded with ABBA - ARRIVAL from Sweden will bring its brand of glitz, showmanship and accurate renditions of the best of ABBA's music catalog to the area at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"ARRIVAL from Sweden is one of the greets ABBA shows in the world," Calumet Theatre Technical/Creative Director Davey Holmbo said. "They usually do shows like the Red Rocks Amphitheater and the House of Blues, so we're very fortunate to get a band like this."

ARRIVAL from Sweden, founded in 1995, has sold out venues around the world, including 35 different countries. What's most impressive about the band, however, is the scope of its concerts, according to Holmbo.

"It's a very, very big show. There are going to be as many people as we can cram onto the Calumet Theatre stage," he said. "People are going to definitely look forward to a star-studded show."

Multiple costume changes are included in the band's repertoire, and with good reason, as ARRIVAL works with designer Owe Sandstrom, who designed and also owns all of the original ABBA staging clothes. So authentic is ARRIVAL's show that ABBA's Bjrn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson gave the band an unreleased song, "Just A Notion," which is due soon for a worldwide release."

"It's just a well-rehearsed and very professional show," Holmbo said. "If you just enjoy great musicianship, you will like ARRIVAL."

Tickets are available by phone or by visiting the Calumet Theatre Box Office. Box office hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and two and a half hours before showtime.
