HOUGHTON - Michael and Kathleen Abbott announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Louise Abbott, to Steven John Kesti, son of John and Suzanne Kesti.
Kelly is a Houghton High School graduate who earned her business and biology degrees from Michigan Technological University and her doctorate of optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. She is currently employed by LensCrafters in Green Bay and Appleton, Wis.
Steve is a Calumet High School graduate and is currently employed by Paul Hyrkas Construction.
An Aug. 6, 2011, wedding is planned at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Houghton.
