Annual Calumet-Keweenaw Sportsmen’s Club Gun &?Sports Show coming up

CALUMET - The Calumet-Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club is sponsoring its 8th Annual Gun & Sports Show at the Calumet Colosseum Aug. 19 and 20 during the Calumet Heritage Days Festival.

The show features 75-100 vendors from throughout Michigan and northern Wisconsin, showing guns, ammo, knives, hunting and fishing gear, ATVs, lawn and garden equipment, taxidermist and woodcarver displays.

The popular summer event attracts 900 to 1,000 visitors, with family fun, raffles and prizes galore with a kids' airgun gallery and casting contest, good food, bake sale and refreshments.

Admission is $3 and children 12 and under free when accompanied by adult.

Exhibitor tables are still available at $30 for the 2-day show, commercial space is $100. Vendors contact Mike Dudenas, 906-337-0347, mdude@pasty.com, for reservations.

The show features a fundraiser raffle with drawings for a Weatherby Vanguard 30-06, Remington 870 20-gauge pump shotgun, Barnett Crossbow, Echo Chainsaw, $200 gift certificate from Calumet Ace Hardware, a Cabela's fishing rod & reel, and gift certificates from local merchants. Raffle tickets are $2 each or 6 for $10, and are available from club members or at the show.
