Bonnie DeCaire-Jones of Chassell is shown donating blood for the 100th time, a feat the Upper Peninsula Regional Blood Center in Hancock gave her a cake and a plaque for. “For an hour of my time every eight weeks, I can save so many people,”?DeCaire-Jones said of donating blood. Her donations, which she has been doing for around 20 years, add up to 12-and-a-half gallons of blood given, which has helped approximately 300 people. The blood center is currently in critical need of A-negative and O-negative blood, and can be reached at 483-1392.
