SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Houghton's Gary Moyle was part of a impressive effort at last Saturday's International-500 snowmobile race, combining with two other drivers for a fourth-place finish.
Moyle and co-drivers Brian Dick and Chad Lian drove the No. 66 Arctic Cat sled for Cadarette Racing, based in Alpena, in the famous event, which includes 500 laps around the 1-mile ice oval.
The 66 sled ran trouble-free throughout the event, which was complicated by an increasingly dirty track brought about by deteriorating ice conditions.
Moyle's team finished the race two laps down to eventual winners Bunke Racing, led by driver Gabe Bunke of Moorhead, Minn.
