To the editor:
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of the people who pulled together to make the benefit a huge success, especially my sister Carol Sickler and my niece Jessie Spelich. What an overwhelming turnout.
I would like to thank Vollwerth's and The White House for donating the food for the spaghetti dinner and a location to hold the benefit, and all of the people who donated bakery.
Also, a special thanks to all of the people who attended or volunteered to work the benefit, whether it was serving food, selling tickets and bakery.
I realize what a great place this is to live and how the community really pulls together when someone is in need.
