HOUGHTON - A Houghton County Jail inmate is still missing after escaping from a work crew Tuesday.
Jeremy Nordstrom, 28, of Calumet, walked away from a work crew at the Houghton County Arena in Hancock at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday.
He has blond hair, blue eyes, and is about 6 feet, 2 inches and 178 pounds.

Nordstrom was serving a probation violation for larceny and allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code. He is a minimum-security inmate, unarmed and has no history of violence.
There is no information yet as to his whereabouts, said Sgt. Gregg Audette of the Houghton County Sheriff's Office.
Houghton-Portage Township Schools were placed on lockdown Tuesday due to the escape. The lockdown did not resume this morning.
