Be careful near wildlife

March 26, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

Now that it's spring, please accept my reminders of two simple practices that help our wild animal neighbors: monitoring our domestic dogs and cats so they don't disturb ground nests, and driving more mindfully near wetlands in order to avoid hitting turtles and other animals who may need to cross the road. Happy spring.
