Little recourse against monopolies

April 28, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

This a letter to the service companies in our area and in our country. We have had raises on our taxes, gas, oil, electricity, water, food and TV. You name it, and it has gone up. Most of us are on a fixed income. We have little recourse against monopolies.

When calling to complain, I was told to contact a government agency and they may be able to help with bills.

I have been and will continue to be very frugal.

There is only one thing to say: Put that money "where the sun don't shine."
