To the editor:
To the writer of the April 28 "Shocking articles," letter, I have read your letters to the editor a time or two and for being such a devout Christian, you sure do like to do the Lord's work and cast judgment upon others.
It's narrow minded people that in this beautiful place make it such a "drag" to live here at times.
Maybe the week long, "homosexual" events were to promote tolerance, equality and diversity. If I am not mistaken, my memory brings me back to a letter written to The Daily Mining Gazette not long ago, condeming the good will of true Christians helping a family out that was in need through Habitat for Humanity. The uproar involved a pastor blessing a family on the grounds that they had children out of wedlock.
I have one piece of advice. We are all children of God, no matter what. Furthermore, we live in America, which means there is freedom of speech and expression. So my suggestion is to look in the mirror and figure out why it is necessary to pollute the world with more hate than there already is.
To sum it all up, live the way the Lord would want you to, meaning be a kind and compassionate Christian and let Him do his work.
