Heartwarming awards

May 12, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

The 10th annual Parent Advisory Committee for Special Education Dinner Awards Reception was held May 8.

These meetings are the most heartwarming experiences that I have had the opportunity to attend during my tenure as a board member of the Copper Country Intermediate School District.

The awards are given to the teachers, staff and students who have made a difference to the emotional and physical challenged students of the Copper Country.

The tears and the laughter of the participants and award winners makes the job as a board member the most rewarding experience that one could imagine.

My thanks as well as the thanks of the other Copper Country Intermediate School District board members go out to the unselfish members of the Parent Advisory Committee for their love and devotion to these challenged students.
