Salsa contest a success

May 19, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

The Friends of the Portage Lake District Library would like to thank all of those people that helped to make our third annual Cinco de Mayo Salsa Contest a success.

It was a very fun evening that included lots of tasty salsas. This year, the entries covered a wide range of salsa from very mild to too hot to handle; from clam to mango, black bean and everything in between.

We would especially like to thank Jim's Foodmart and Rodeo Mexican Kitchen for supplying us with samples of their salsas to try and to Anthony Daniel for providing great music for us to listen to. Please watch for our upcoming book sale and Summer's Bounty Social.

Hope to see you at our next event.
