DOLLAR BAY - James Patrick Brunner, 75, of Dollar Bay, died at Aspirus Keweenaw in Laurium on Monday evening, May 21, 2012.
He was born in Hancock on July 14, 1936, to the late Frederick Joseph "Fritz" and Genevieve (Schannenk) Brunner.
After graduating from Houghton High School in 1956, he served in both the U.S. Naval Reserve and U.S. Army.
Pat owned and operated his West End Body Shop in Hancock before going to work at Dreisbach & Sons Cadillac in Detroit until he retired to live in Dollar Bay.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Bartanen) Brunner and a son, Patrick Brunner.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. "Peggy" Brunner of Dollar Bay; daughters, Linea Colasanti of Leonard, Mich., and Cindy Cichosz of New Hudson, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Katrina Sparks of Cary, N.C. and Jennifer Gwynn of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four step-grandchildren; and a brother, Keith Brunner of Poland, Ohio.
There will be no services at this time with interment in Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton.
