To the editor:
The book, "Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn (jonathancahn.com) is the most amazing story I have ever read. He links one verse in the Bible, Isaiah 9:10, to September 11, 2001 events.
He shows clearly how each word of Isaiah 9:10 fits with the 9/11 events and places; it is uncanny. He quotes many national leaders who quote Isaiah 9:10 not understanding the warning. God was calling this nation to repentance and our Christian foundation.
This verse was a warning to Israel 2,500 years ago to repent or be destroy because they had turned from God. After 9/11, Americans briefly returned to churches to pray for the victims and our nation. The apparent national repentance was short and insincere. Soon, people continued more sinful living and defiance to God, instead of repentance and returning to trusting in God like our coins say.
Harvard, Yale and many of our universities were established more than 300 years ago to teach Christianity. Today, liberal educators have turned their backs on our Christian heritage.
The Declaration of Independence says, "Our Creator gave us unalienable rights." That means our rights are given by God, not the government. God has been forced from the public square replaced with rights and entitlements given by the governing politicians. Rights and entitlements that are directly contrary to God's word.

God's word has been removed from our schools. Nativity scenes are banned. The Ten Commandments that have guided people for 3,500 years are removed from public places. Prayers have been banned from our public schools and public places. We have deadened our senses to the murder of more than 50 million unborn since Roe versus Wade.
Some deny America was founded on Christian principles. Consider what George Washington said in his inaugural address. Every American should read the entire address.
"The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained; and since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered, perhaps, as deeply, as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people."
The problems in this country are deeper than left or right, rich or poor, Democrat or Republican or skin color. We have become an ungodly nation. God in love is saying repent, I sent my Son Jesus Christ to forgive and save you.
