Successful Parade of Thanks

May 26, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

Special thanks to Dennis Korby, his wife, Rita and many others who were instrumental in organizing the Parade of Thanks again this year. It was a real joy for me personally to be involved again this year. It was wonderful to see many representatives from all branches of the service; also many veterans from the VFW Posts and American Legion. Thanks to the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps from the schools and other personnel.

Special thanks to our Grand Marshal this year, Bill Archer, who fought in three wars - World War II, Korea and Vietnam; Kim Maki, Patriot of the year, Alexander Monette, Jr. Patriot of the Year along with Joseph Cullen.

Thank you and God bless you all.

I'm so proud of my fellow veterans who so faithfully and honorably served our country. And to the general public, you, the people of the community who demonstrated your support by the clapping of your hands and waving of flags, we thank you. Yes, God bless you all. Because of you, the parade was a success again this year.

Pastor Ken Toth
