TWIN?LAKES?- With its inland lakes, miles of scenic trails and endless opportunities for year-round recreation, Twin Lakes is truly a destination location you don't want to miss.

Krupp's Mini Mart

Open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, this family-oriented general store changes with the season. It's located on the Bill Nicholls Trail just south of Twin Lakes State Park and carries groceries, gas, propane, snacks, hunting and fishing supplies, firewood, DNR licenses, and some automotive parts.

The staff is as warm and inviting as the aroma of homemade pasties (beef with rutabaga) made fresh daily.

Pasties are available ready-to-eat or frozen.

The in-house bakery and carry-out deli also offers sweet pastries, sandwiches and more.

As far as refreshments, Krupp's Mini Mart carries pop, liquor, beer and wine with?early Sunday sales.

Dave's Wood Bin

Home of the hardwood "Yooper Bundle," Dave's Wood Bin provides campers, and some lakeshore residents, with the wood they need to keep their bonfires burning.

Located a 1/2 mile south of the state park, at the Yooper Lodge Office, Dave's Wood Bin is a state perks provider, offering a free large bag of kindling with any bundle purchase for those who have the recreation passport on their license plate.

Regular large bundles of hardwood are available.

The "Yooper Bundle" can be delivered to the customer's campsite.

Alpha Tours & Expeditions

This Twin Lakes-based tour operator transports vacationers on exciting trips around the country.

Traveling by bus, sightseers can kick back and relax while Alpha Tours takes them to places like New York City,?Washington D.C., and Branson, Mo., to name a few.

Upcoming trips include a visit to the New England states Oct. 5-15, a Merry Branson Christmas (complete with shows and holiday songs) Nov. 5-10, and a Christmas shopping trip to Appleton/Green Bay, Wis., Nov. 30-Dec.1.

Future trips may include Alaska, Northwest by Amtrak, Pigeon Forge and New York City.

Parkview Lodge & Grill

Opening June 1 with its new summer schedule - 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday - the Parkview is serving up daily specials and traditional favorites for appetites big and small.

The Saturday and Sunday menu features breakfast, lunch and dinner options while the weekday menu serves dinner and daily specials.

The Parkview is closed Monday.

Wyandotte Hills Golf Club

Lush greens await golfers to Twin Lakes' beautiful, challenging, 9-hole golf course. Located on Poyhonen Road off M26, Wyandotte Hills offers rental carts and clubs. Cart storage is offered year-round.

This family-owned forest products company has been operating a hardwood sawmill in Twin Lakes, cutting lumber in the same location, since 1948.
