CALUMET - Lynn Mattila, 44, a resident of Calumet, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 3, 2012.

Lynn was born on Jan. 14, 1968, in Laurium, a daughter of Paul & Mavis (Wickstrom) McKinstry. She graduated from Calumet High School with the Class of 1986. She then attended school to become a Pharmacy Technician.

She worked for Leo's Drug Store in Laurium and then at the Pamida/Shopko Pharmacy in Calumet.

Lynn married Robert Mattila on July 12, 1997, in Laurium.

She is a member of Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.

She enjoyed spending time at the camp in Lac La Belle, boating and Bete Gris. Spending time with her family was most important to her. Special memories include her trips to Florida and Six Flags Great America with family. Lynn loved everything and would not harm a fly due to her tender heartedness. She especially loved her dog, Scooby Doo.

Lynn was preceded in death by her grandparents Lou and Lucille Wickstrom.

She is survived by her: husband, Bob; son, Jacob; parents, Paul and Mavis McKinstry of Calumet; brother, James McKinstry of Laurium; her dog, Scooby Doo; special friends, Shirley Doyle and George Gribaldo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet with the Fr. Abraham Mupparathara to officiate.

Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m.

Burial will be at the Lake View Cemetery.
