To the editor:

The spaghetti dinner benefit held recently at the L&L Bar to help with medical expenses for Jake's open heart surgery was a great success. We are sincerely thankful and appreciative for the donations of food, helping hands, raffle items and money.

We would like to thank the following people: Jason Melton and friends for planning the event, Donna White for organizing the bake sale, Jayne Harvey for setting up, all the ladies who donated baked goods, all the ladies who donated cole slaw and rolls, Judy Maronen, Bonnie Hobmeier, Jeff Shepherd, Heather Nagel, Amy Erkkila, and Mike Maninga of the Allouez Township Fire Dept. for the use of roaster ovens.

We must give special recognition to Donna White and Jayne Harvey for their willingness to host this event and the countless ways in which they helped.
