HOUGHTON - Josh Frantti hit six home runs in a doubleheader for McGann's/Northern Auto Monday in Copper Country Slowpitch league play at Miller Memorial Field in Laurium.
In the opener, he was 4-for-6 with three round-trippers as McGann's/Northern Auto took out Lakes Dairyland 35-17 and he went 4-for-4 with three homers in a 35-12 conquest of Rippa Products.
In the Lakes Dairyland game, McGann's/Northern Auto was also boosted by five hits (two doubles) from Dan Juopperi and three apiece from Mark Koski, Travis Wesa and Scott Wesa. Steve Aho, Scott Wesa and Jason Koski also homered.

For Dairyland, Jason Wilks went 3-for-3 with two doubles, while Joe Rivest was 3-for-3 with a triple and Bill Bastion 3-for-3 with a double.
Against Rippa, McGann's/Northern Auto got four-hit games from Aho, Aaron Cosellian, Brian Juopperi and Mark Koski.
McGann's/Northern Auto homered 11 times, including two from Aho, two from Jason Koski and one apiece from Cosellian, Mark Koski and Travis Wesa.
Dan Juopperi, Scott Wesa and Travis Wesa finished game two with three hits apiece.
Rippa was led offensively by Mike Loukus, who was 3-for-3 with a double.
Northern Concrete topped Miller's Recreation 28-13 with help from a 12-run third inning.
Pat Carroll and Ethan Shaver had five-hit games for the winners, while Garrett Byrne, Alex Elsenheimer, Bryan LaChapelle, Eric Stage and Nelson Wienke recorded four hits apiece. Byrne, LaChapelle and Justin Blake homered.
Downtowner 2 started off strong, scoring 25 times in the first three innings of a 28-19 win over Center Ice.
Jared Bellmore, Tim Engman, Ryan Makela, Pete Pelissero and Dave Saari all had three-hit games for the DT.
For Center Ice, Ben Steber hit for the cycle, going 5-for-5. Emmett Bjorn, Keith Halonen, Jason Johnson, Nate Lasanen and Devin Sturos put up three hits each.
Erickson-Crowley/ Osmose took down Center Ice 25-7 with help from a 7-for-7 day from Adam Kerry. Kerry had two triples and a double to complement his output.
Andy Bourdeau added five hits, including a double and a triple.
For Center Ice, Halonen and Steber were the offensive leaders with three hits each.
