KEWEENAW BAY - Helene E. Bergeron, 73, of Keweenaw Bay, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, June 14, 2012.
She was born in Detroit on Aug. 20, 1938, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lottie (Rozborski) Krzesimowski and attended school in Detroit.
She married Floyd Bergeron in Detroit on June 18, 1956.
Helene was employed as a telephone operator in Detroit. They moved to the area in 1994.
Helene was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, Assinins.
She enjoyed cooking and going to the casino.
Mrs. Bergeron is survived by her loving husband, Floyd, of Keweenaw Bay; son, Leon (Danielle) Bergeron of Dearborn; daughters, Karen (Larry) Bergeron of Canton, Mich., Jackie Farley of St. Clair Shores and Kristin Bergeron of Keweenaw Bay; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael (Debbie) Butler of Burton, Mich.; and eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert; and grandson, Robert, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from Holy Name of Jesus, Assinins with Father Antony Lukka, celebrant. Interment will take place in the Assinins Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon.
