TOIVOLA - Mosquito Inn/Computer Mechanix handed Stanton its first Twilight League defeat of the season Tuesday, taking a 5-0 lead after two innings and holding on for the 6-4 victory.
MI/CM scored three times in the first inning and twice in the second to take the early lead, and starting pitcher Will Williams scattered 12 hits in a complete game.
Stanton put up a pair of runs in the third, but trailed 6-2 going into the seventh and could only cut the deficit in half.
Steve Lishinski was 3-for-4 for the winners and scored three times. Robert Brooks was 2-for-2 with a double.
Stanton outhit MI/CM 12-7.
For the Wildcats, Josh Hibbard was 3-for-4 with a double. Mike Richards homered as part of a 2-for-4 game and Josh Koskela, Eli Luoma and Brock Riutta also posted two hits apiece. Luoma threw a complete game in defeat for Stanton (6-1).
MI/CM ended a three-game losing streak and raised its record to 2-4.
