TAPIOLA - South Range stayed unbeaten in Over 50 Softball League Thursday by scoring a 10-5 win over Chassell.
Joe Rossi claimed the mound win for the 5-0 victors. Mitch Lake absorbed the defeat for 2-3 Chassell.
Joe Geborkoff paced the winners with three hits, while Mark Batway, Ed Hartel, Dave Kaiponen, Mike Sayen and Rossi collected two raps apiece.
John Botto and Al Eckhart led 2-3 Chassell with three hits apiece and Gordy Koski and Daryl Putala picked up two raps each.
Houghton scored a 21-12 win over Tapiola in the other game. Steve Dunstan was the winning pitcher, while Jed Denomie took the loss.
Leading the way for 2-3 Houghton was Jeff Pollard with four safeties. Dave LeGault and Chester Marcol were good for three raps apiece.
Denomie collected three hits for 1-4 Tapiola. Dennis Salbashian and Jim Oikarinen had two hits each.
