The bride was born in Oporto, Portugal, on Nov. 16, 1974. She is a graduate of Escola Artistica Soares dos Reis, Oporto, and graduated from Cambridge University and Escola Superior Artistica do Porto in fine arts, painting, also in Oporto. She is an international fine-arts artist and writer, and also has a developing career and performance arts, music (piano, vocals) and artistic modeling.
The groom is a 1991 graduate of Hancock Central High School and a 1997 graduate of Curry College in Milton, Mass.; he studied two-dimensional mixed media at Harvard University. He is an international artist and writer.
