HURONTOWN - Downtowner 2 went 2-for-2 in Copper Country Slowpitch League play Monday, defeating Rippa Products 32-25 and Miller's Recreation/The Edge 22-13.
In the victory over Rippa, DT2 got a 5-for-5 outing with a triple from Tim Korby. Pete Pelissero and Dave Usitalo both included homers in their four hits.
Mike Bellmore, Tim Engman, Erik Nettell and Scott Riutta all finished with three hits.

Rippa's Dean Scherbring and Ben Loukus both finished 4-for-5, while Josh LaRoux had three hits, including a homer. Shawn MacDonald also added three hits.
Against Miller's/The Edge, Nettell went 6-for-6 with a pair of doubles and a home run. Usitalo went 5-for-6, while Mike Bellmore and Ryan Makela chipped in four hits apiece.
Lakes Dairyland took down Continental Fire Co. 27-18 at Hancock Driving Park behind a six-hit game from Allen Klutts: two homers, two doubles and two singles. Both Bill Bastion and Jason Wilks had five hits, while Wilks added a homer.
For CFC, Tim Viola and Scott Salvinski recorded four hits.
Northern Concrete edged North Pointe Trucking 19-18, getting five hits (two doubles) from Brandon Cowie. Phil Milbrath was 4-for-6 with two doubles and a home run, while Matt Curtin and Ethan Shaver chipped in three hits apiece.
McGann's/Northern Auto defeated Center Ice 29-9. Steve Aho was 5-for-5 with three home runs. Josh Frantti and John Sturos added three hits each.
For Center Ice, three players posted a team-best two hits.
Nutini's defeated Erickson-Crowley/Osmose 19-13 despite four hits from Mike RIchards. Raymond Tuominen, Brian Turner and Steve Lacourt contributed three hits apiece. Stats for the winners weren't available.
