HOUGHTON - McGann's/ Northern Auto built an insurmountable 2 1/2 game lead in Division A with two games left after an 11-10 win over Northern Concrete in the Copper Country Men's Slowpitch League.
McGann's got three hits from Josh Frantti and Brian Juopperi.
Also in Division A, Northern Concrete defeated Center Ice 21-15 despite four-hit games from Logan Frantti, Lance Johnson, Ben Steber and Rob Swykert. Frantti had four doubles, while Steber had a double and a triple.

Miller's Recreation/The Edge outslugged Rippa Products 31-23. Stats for the winners were not submitted, but Rippa got four hits apiece from Scott Hall, Ben Loukus and Mike Loukus. Josh LaRoux and Alex Loukus kicked in three, with Alex Loukus adding a home run.
Lakes Dairyland took down Nutini's 19-4 with help from three doubles by Joe Rivest and three hits, including a triple, by Charlie Frederick.
Kevin LaRoux homered twice and Allen Klutts once.
Continental Fire Company defeated Rippa Products 19-11 behind a 6-for-6 game by Logan Rastello. Rastello tripled twice and doubled once. Jim Mewbourn was 5-for-6 and Nick Mewbourn, Kris Willis and Scott Silvenski all collected four hits. Rippa got three hits apiece from Alex Loukus and Shawn MacDonald.
