MASSILLON, Ohio - Harold Alanen, 87, of Massillon, Ohio passed away July 11, 2012.
Harold was born March 31, 1925, in Liminga and lived in Redridge before leaving for the Army. He served in Occupied Japan.
He attended the Redridge School and was active in Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; sons, Richard and Robert (Diane); sisters, Evelyn (Ernest) Leikala and Violet (James) Moehrke; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reino and Eleanor Alanen; and a daughter, Linda (Snooky).
Harold had many fond memories of growing up and his friends in Redridge. Cremation took place in Massillon.
