HANCOCK - The league-leading Stanton Wildcats emphatically secured their 13th win of the season, blanking Pat's Foods 13-0 in five innings Thursday night.
Stanton took a 5-0 lead after the first inning and after a scoreless second, finished with one, three and four runs over the final three innings. Pat's finished with just four hits in the shortened second-to-last regular season Twilight League game.
Eli Luoma tallied six strikeouts in earning the pitching win for Stanton, and he also led all offensive performers with a 3-for-4 game, which included a double.
Josh Hibbard extended his home run streak to three games, and he reached base in all four at-bats, including two walks. Mike Richards and Erik Nettell also had multi-hit games for 13-1 Stanton.
The Wildcats host 3-11 Mosquito Inn/Computer Mechanix in Tuesday's regular season finale, while Pat's Foods (4-10) hosts BlueSky Health (8-6).
