CALUMET - Carolyn Louise Boberg, 74, left this earth to join her Lord Jesus on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She smiled that famous smile as she was welcomed into Heaven by the loved ones who left before her.

Carolyn was born Dec. 28, 1937, in Calumet, a daughter of John and Doris Rastello.

She married and traveled the world with residences in Germany, Turkey, Louisiana, Missouri and Virginia before ultimately returning to her hometown of Calumet.

She worked as a nurse aide and was always glad to lend a helping hand to those in need. She loved the outdoors and working in her garden. Carolyn enjoyed berry picking with her grandkids and loved going agate picking at the lake with her dogs. Carolyn enjoyed her family and friends, loved to dance and have fun. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Carolyn is survived by her children: Chuck (Linda) Junot of Calumet, John (Missy) Junot of N. Carolina, Doris (Patrick) Arber of Delaware, Todd (Nancy) Junot of Pennsylvania and Pat (Dayra) Boberg of Calumet; her sister, Jospehine (Dominic) Zubiena of Calumet; brother, John (Sheila) Rastello of Gwinn; sister-in-law, Maria Rastello; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and her special friends, Shirley and Audrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Doris (Eddy) Rastello; step-mother, Aleta (Dolly) Gray Rastello; siblings, Charles Rastello, Frank Rastello and Rose Snow.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, August 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet with Rev. Fr. Abraham Mapparathara to officiate. Friends may call in the Ryan Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. with parish prayer services at 7:45 p.m.
