HANCOCK - Margaret Webber Blake, formerly of Hancock, died at her Toledo, Ohio residence on Thursday, July 26, 2012 after several years of illness.
She was born the only child of Richard "Dick" and Eileen (Marshall) Webber. She was a 1974 graduate of Hancock High School and a 1978 graduate of Michigan Technological University. Margaret was a member of Theta Chi Epsilon Sorority. She married Forrest Blake in 1978. They resided for several years in Perrysburg, Ohio and two years in Saudi Arabia, and traveled to over 40 countries- a hobby she continued until recently. They later divorced but remained friends.
Margaret was employed at the Seneca County Board of Developmental Disabilites for 25 years as an Evaluator and Intake Coordinator. She was previously a member of St. Rose Parish and CCD Teacher and presently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania, Ohio, where she was an Eucharistic Minister for several years.
Margaret is survived by her longtime companion, Judy Anderson; former husband, Forrest Blake; and several cousins including James and Karen Lawrence and Jack Killmar.
The funeral mass was held at St. Joseph Church in Sylvania at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Webber plot at Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Brian Gerber of the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock presiding.
