EAGLE HARBOR TOWNSHIP - A woman was injured Tuesday in a one-vehicle accident in Eagle Harbor Township.

According to the Keweenaw County Sheriff's Department, the accident occurred on U.S. 41 about 1 mile north of Gratiot Lake Road. The call came in about 2:45 p.m.

"The accident was not witnessed by anybody, so we don't know exactly what happened," Keweenaw County Sheriff Ron Lahti said. "But we can see by the tracks, she lost control here."

Lahti said the vehicle struck a tree after leaving the road.

The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, he said. She was taken from the scene by Mercy EMS to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium. Her condition is unknown at this time.
