A 20-year-old Laurium woman injured in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon has been listed in critical condition at Marquette General Health System in Marquette.
According to the Keweenaw County Sheriff's office, Grace Ronan was traveling east on U.S. 41 one mile east of Gratiot Lake Road in Eagle Harbor Township when she lost control of her vehicle, a 1992 Chevrolet Lumina, and ran off the road, striking several trees. Ronan was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital by Mercy EMS and later transferred to Marquette General.
The Keweenaw County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Allouez, Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor first responders, the Calumet Township Fire and Rescue Jaws of Life and the Keweenaw County Road Commission.
The accident remains under investigation.
