To the editor:
The BRIDGE Alternative High School took me in during my last three months of my senior year, when I was told at my former high school I would not graduate on time.
I contacted BRIDGE and the staff were willing to work with me. I took classes all day for the remaining months and they also set me up with two take-home courses. They worked with me and were available for one-on-one advice when I needed it.
I graduated the year I was supposed to, thanks to this school and the staff involved.
I only spent a short time there, but it felt like a family. I felt they cared when nobody else did. They gave me the confidence to succeed.
This school has been a blessing to many students in our community. It's a shame to see it go.
