Adams thanked for BRIDGE support

August 23, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

I would really like to thank Adams Township schools, Tim Keteri and Barb Ruotsala for showing their support of BRIDGE Alternative High School. It is more than the education (students) are given, it is the boost in self confidence and self-awareness it instills. I have seen some students come to the school with a very hard shell and no self confidence. They flourished at the school and grew to be productive members of the community. These are students who have been pushed aside by the attitude we are seeing at the schools that don't support BRIDGE. The teachers at BRIDGE spend time to build these students up and encourage them to use the amazing talents that they have.

Please, people of this great community, tell your districts that this school needs to continue, that you support what they do, and are willing to pay the millage to support these kids.
