HOUGHTON - The Houghton Police Department is looking for suspects in a Monday morning assault in Houghton.
The incident occurred about 1 a.m., when a car with two white male occupants stopped and approached a female who was crossing Montezuma Avenue.
The driver got out and asked the female if she wanted a ride; when she said no, the driver attempted to force her into the vehicle. When the passenger told the driver they should leave, they got back in the car and headed eastbound down College Avenue.
The driver is described as a white male with light facial hair in his 30s. He was wearing a Detroit Tigers baseball cap, shorts and sandals. The passenger also had on a Tigers cap, which he wore backwards.
The vehicle is described as a light blue four-door sedan similar to a 1990s Buick with prominent displays of rust.
