Momentum extended for LL-H volleyball

ONTONAGON - Lake Linden-Hubbell maintained its momentum from earlier in the week, sweeping 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-16) at Ontonagon Thursday.

The Lakes got out of the gate quickly, with Abby McConnon recording three of LL-H's nine kills and Erin Gast and Annelise Polkinghorn throwing in two aces apiece.

The Lakes got a pair of aces in the second set from Chelsea Koepel and Brittni Kisul, then put the match away in the third behind an ace and four kills from Brooke Corrigan.

Mandy Perreault was the team leader for LL-H with six kills. McConnon added five.

Polkinghorn recorded 10 assists and Sarah Audette seven for the Lakes, while Gast had a team-best 15 digs. Polkinghorn added nine.

For Ontonagon, Bobbi Ross had a pair of aces and a pair of kills, Brooke Turin led with five kills, Amanda Pantti posted five digs and Audrey Niemi notched a pair of blocks.

LL-H won the JV match in two sets.
