Jay and Joyce (Walstrom) Rowe

HANCOCK - Jay and Joyce (Walstrom) Rowe of Hancock recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner at the Ramada Inn hosted by their children and spouses.

They were married Aug. 4, 1962, at the Pine Street Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock, by Pastor Mickelsen. They are the parents of sons Greg (Mary) of Green Bay; Chad (Rhonda) of Hubbell; and Nathan (Laura) of Lake Linden. They also have nine grandchildren: Tanya, Andrea, Mark of Green Bay; Emme and Elle of Hubbell; and Garrett, Trevor, Jordyn and Grace of Lake Linden.

Jay is a 1957 graduate of Calumet High School and 1961 graduate of Michigan Technological University. Joyce is a 1959 graduate of Houghton High School. Jay had two careers as a mechanical engineer and an insurance agent. Joyce was an executive secretary at the CCISD.
