A nation running wild

September 15, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

America, please hear me.

I stepped foot on this planet a long time ago. A man running for United States President promised a full dinner bucket and two cars in every garage. Then the grass grew so tall on the highways, no one could drive their cars. My father lost his business and disappeared from our family. My mother could not support four children so I was picked to go live with my Uncle Lyle who I was named after. Good days were back again in my mind. Then a wild woman came along and got my Uncle Lyle to go home with her. Sad days were back again.

I started running wild, so they sent me to reform school. When I came home, I had no interest in school. I told my school teacher I had to find a job. There was little food at home to eat. I found a job in a foundry where I worked more than 50 years until someone took my job to another country.

America, please don't let this happen again. My God tells me Obama will be our best man.

Addendum: America's politics, a place where people go and disagree with each other. Also the nation with many churches all looking for a God who will forgive them for not forgiving others.
