Avoid another mistake

September 19, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

I love America. I care for most Americans, even some Republicans. The reason for that is most Republicans are gullible, and their memories are bad. If they would have voted in a Democrat for president in 2000, we would be in good shape today. We would have a budget surplus, no wars, plenty of jobs and no dead soldiers or 33,000 wounded. God bless them.

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney messed up America so badly that no matter who was president now, there wouldn't be any solution to the problems. Republicans voted against jobs bills to keep unemployment high to embarrass our president. Bush's approval rating was 27 percent. Cheney's was 13 percent. You don't want another useless Republican as president.

Please open your minds, and remember this: The Democrats and unions gave you Social Security, Medicare, fair wages so you could own your own home, car and television sets. Please don't forget that.
