HANCOCK - Reda F. Kelly, 73, formerly of Hancock and most recently of Copper City, went to meet her Lord and Loving Savior on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012. She was a patient at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock for several days.
She was born in Birds, Ill., on Oct. 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Lyman and Evaline (Vaught) Porter. She attended schools in Gary, Ind.
Reda married Karl Sellers on March 19, 1960, with their daughter, Judy Sellers being born Sept. 5, 1972. Following the end of the marriage, she moved to Hancock in 1979 to be near her mother, marrying John Kelly on Nov. 15, 1980. Both Karl and John are now deceased.
Reda had a strong love of the church and was a faithful member of Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Houghton. She and Judy attended many church activities in various churches and, with John, often helped anyone in need, like volunteering at Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly in Hancock. She prayed often for her family and friends.
She was also actively involved in the Relay for Life organization locally.
Reda is survived by her daughter, Judy Sellers and many other friends and relatives.

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday and for one hour before services on Friday at the church.
