HOUGHTON - New background information in the case of a man accused of involvement with a methamphethamine lab may lead to a resolution in the case.

A two-day trial was set earlier for Jan. 16 in the case of Kurtis Stough, 22. Stough is charged with attempted manufacture of methamphetamine and operating a meth lab, both 20-year felonies.

Prosecuting Attorney Michael Makinen said he had received background information on the case this week and provided it to the defense attorney. They had not had an opportunity yet to discuss how the information might impact the case yet, he said.
