ONTONAGON?- The Gogebic Miners jumped on Ontonagon quickly Friday night, running up 20 first quarter points on their way to a 42-8 win.
Arthur Rundell and Alex Coubal both rushed for touchdowns in the opening period, while quarterback Eric Lane connected twice in the game for touchdowns over 20 yards long.
Ontonagon did manage to get one score back in the fourth quarter, with David Pollard plunging in from four yards out to prevent a shutout.
The Gladiators are 0-7 on the season. They play host to Hurley, Wis., next Friday.
