To the editor:
What is happening in America?
Our economy, once the envy of the world, is upside down. Our national debt at more than $16 trillion is hurling us toward insolvency; where we literally cannot print money fast enough to keep up with our national out of control spending.
We have lost (so much) respect for the value of life that today in a city like Chicago, the murder rate exceeds that of the death rate in Kabul, Afghanistan; cities more dangerous than war zones, the theaters more violent than movies they present, a president endorsing homosexual marriage, and abortions so prevalent that 22 percent of pregnancies in America will end with the willful destruction of the baby.
And now, during this election season, we are bombarded with political messages, every candidate claiming to have the answer to our problems. The mudslinging seems at an all-time high, and division and hatred mark our public discussion. Clearly, this is one of the most crucial elections our country has faced.
There is concerted effort to take God out of our Pledge of Allegiance and to scrub His name and the Ten Commandments from our public buildings and monuments. The cross and any symbols pointing to it are being banned from display.

We are seeing today a clash between Christianity and secularists. There is a battle being waged between those who believe that God and His Word are our source of truth and justice and those who believe that man is all we need.
This a spiritual battle which can only be won by overwhelming prayer. The future of the world is at stake because if America falls, there no longer will exist a strong champion of freedom and a champion of the oppressed world.
It's time to pray, and ask God to forgive us of our sins and heal our land. Vote for moral values. Time for the Church to repent and ask God to forgive us of our sins and heal our land. Please pray and vote for moral values.
