CALUMET - Donna Peltier, 68, a resident of Calumet, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at Marquette General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past several weeks.
She was born September 12, 1944, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late David and Margaret (Doyle) Jones. She attended Milwaukee Vocational School.
On May 14, 1966, she was married to her teenage sweetheart, Robert Peltier and they recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Donna still looked at him with a sparkle in her eye.
Donna spent 60 years of her life living in the Milwaukee area and in 2005, she and Robert moved to Calumet to be close to family.
Donna enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and sports, especially golf and football, including a lifelong love of the Green Bay Packers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David "Butch" Jones.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; sisters, Margaret Emond of Milwaukee and Edna Jones of Caden, Ala.; a brother, Harvey (Laura) Jones of Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. in the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet with Rev. Ken Toth to officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
